PowerPoint: Gift or Curse?
With all the modern means we have to deliver content, why do we still believe it is a good idea to have one person stand at the front of a room and speak to an audience?
There is something valuable about being in the same room. We like the dynamic interaction and relational experience.
With that in mind, consider this question: What do you think of when you hear the word "presentation?"
Do you think of PowerPoint?
If we like presentations because they are dynamic, interactive, and relational, why do we equate "presentation" with a series of static images?
Remember, when you speak, you are the presentation.
Slides are a tool to enhance the presentation - that's you!
Slides that speak on their own make a terrible presentation.
