On the Importance of Passion

If your ideas, research, and data matter, then your level of passion when you speak matters.

Get excited.

Gesture expressively.

Smile for pete's sake.

Raise your eyebrows.

Look us in the eye.

Pause after key points.

Change your pace.

Emotions are contagious; if you look bored we will also be bored.

At the end of the day, we may not buy what you are selling, but we should at least buy that you would buy what you are selling.
